This training is ideal for leaders, managers, experts, trainers, facilitators, helpers, and anyone looking to turn their expression and behavior into a conscious and proactive tool for strengthening a coaching and empowering approach.
Recognize your power and use it wisely!
Together, we will explore how modern leaders, managers, experts, employees, or teachers should ideally behave in today’s world. Do context-specific role expectations overly restrict our behavior? How can I use my expression to signal that I am approachable? Am I unintentionally pushing others away with my communication? And how can we use our own expression as a conscious tool for empowering others, recognizing and mobilizing strengths, and enhancing a sense of agency and capability?
This training is based on the "Spheres of Influence" framework developed by Barbara Tint and Simo Routarinne. It is designed to increase your awareness and strengthen your agency in matters of power and influence. Throughout the training, we will examine how individuals and groups utilize influence in personal, professional, and community contexts.
The training takes place from March 3, 2025 – April 30, 2025 and includes weekly Zoom meetings as well as access to the Howspace platform.

About the goals of the training
The successful application of coaching leadership, guidance, and work approaches in everyday professional life requires a conscious change in behavior. This training provides both the understanding and the tools necessary for this intentional behavioral transformation. We integrate practical status behavior techniques with key concepts such as coaching leadership, shared expertise, strengths-based approaches, and self-directed agency.
In this training, we explore the different forms of individual influence within organizational hierarchies and power structures. By becoming aware of your own influence, you can intentionally leverage it in your daily work. This program also enhances understanding of inclusion and intersectionality within organizational culture and everyday interactions.

Personal Influence: The Four Key Elements
This training focuses on the four essential elements of personal influence:
🔹 Social Currencies – The resources you possess, such as wealth, knowledge, skills, networks, time, and other assets that contribute to your influence.
🔹 Rank – Your position or status within a hierarchy, which directly impacts your level of influence.
🔹 Confidence – Your internal sense of competence, self-worth, and effectiveness, shaping your ability to act with intention.
🔹 Status Behavior – The way you express dominance or submission in interactions, playing a key role in understanding power dynamics.

Organizational and Societal Power
In this workshop, we will explore the four different forms of personal influence within the hierarchical systems of organizations and institutions, as well as in the broader societal and cultural power structures. An individual's ability to exert influence is significantly shaped by the social group they were born into—whether they belong to the majority or a minority. Factors such as gender, ethnicity, skin color, sexual orientation, religion, and various other identity markers and contexts define the systemic advantages or limitations that impact one’s influence.
While societal and organizational power structures can shape and restrict an individual's opportunities to exercise influence, we also have the power to reshape these structures by making more conscious choices about how and where we direct our influence!
The insights, tools, and knowledge gained in this workshop can be applied in multiple contexts, including coaching-based leadership, fostering multicultural inclusivity, promoting true equality, and enhancing empathy skills.
